Elpis Kindergarten

The children pictured below are pupils in the Elpis Kindergarten, which was founded in September 2000. Beginning with eleven children in one class then, it has grown to having thirty-two children in two classes.

Elpis Kindergarten is the first Christian educational institution in the city of Dej . Originally The kindergarten meets in the original three-room apartment in which classes have been held from the first. The rooms are small and there is not enough space for a play area. In spite of those limitations, the staff have made the school a very highly respected institution.

The accreditation process is under way and, at last report, the evaluations of the accreditation committee of the state are “very good.”

Started for the children of Christian leaders and workers in the churches, the school has also, from the beginning, provided for needy children by providing scholarship help for those children. As long as there is room, no child is refused just because his or her parents cannot pay.

Elpis is also the only school that has provided children with free transportation both to and from school. As you can see, the car is already full, and there are more children to come. Thirteen kids in a five passenger car is both illegal and very dangerous. So. we have had to stop transporting children temporarily They are praying for a van.

The children have also been praying for a better place for their school to meet. Last year, God answered with an old house with a large yard, where they will even have a place to play.

Now, construction is under way to remodel that old house to make a new kindergarten, an office and a storage place for Elpis Foundation.

financial support concerning the uncovered expenses (parents only cover 30% of it) and for the kids coming from poor families
for a van, that we can use for transportation. This can be also used for the missionary work in Somes Missionary Circle . (For more details please read the Elpis Foundation projects).
