What We Are Doing
What We Are Doing How You Can Help

The organization is already engaged in the following activities called for in its bylaws:

  • Identify Christian persons and organizations whose efforts may be expected to further the goals of the corporation, and support and encourage them in their services . . .
We have joined forces with the Somes Missionary Center, a Baptist organization devoted to revitalizing existing churches and planting new ones in the rural villages of Transylvania. We contributed to the construction of a church building in the village of Ciceu-Poieni, and were also instrumental in the starting of a new church in the village of Bobalna.
We have provided infant formula and children's clothing to Holt International Children's Services to be used in a foster parenting program and home for unwed mothers in Bucharest.
We have given Bibles to Romanian Orthodox priests, at least two of whom use Bibles given by I. C. E. to teach in the public schools and to teach the people in their churches. Two Roman Catholic attorneys regularly give Bibles to their friends and associates - Bibles which we provide - and have invited us to witness personally to unbelieving friends. Many more Bibles have been given to the various Baptist Churches with which we are associated.
  • Receive . . . and distribute Bibles, books, other educational materials, food, clothing, medical supplies, and computer hardware and software . . .
Computers donated by companies, churches and individuals in this country have been sent to Romania. Most will be given to the churches and organizations mentioned above. Others will be given to pastors or other individuals of influence. One system is for Holt International. Another has gone to the mayor of a village who also is pastor of four village churches. Still another will be given to Romania's first Christian athletic organization, a soccer team that now plays on Romanian national TV, giving the players an opening to witness publicly for Christ.
  • Recruit and assign volunteers to provide labor, services, and appropriate technology to meet the needs of partner agencies . . .
The President of the organization has traveled to Romania three times at his own expense, and has preached and taught in ten different village and city churches, besides the informal witness and Bible studies in various homes. In June of 2000, eleven family members will go together to work on church buildings and houses, as well as hold Bible school classes. In addition, one son will spend most of his time setting up computer systems, which we have shipped to the various organizations we support.
